Window Washing Robot
This robot was another freelance project. I was approached by a man who owned a window washing business. He was interested in making a robot that could be positioned via winches on the roof of a tall building that would automatically clean the building’s windows. This was a pretty large robot so I welded together a structure that had some large passive wheels that would rest against the building. The structure was set up to allow him to attach various pieces of equipment such as brushes and water sprayers. This project didn’t go any farther than this. The goal was to build the structure and then do a little testing before it really became robotic. I wasn’t there when this happened but my client told me that he decided to stop working on it when he was out testing things and a gust of wind caught what would become the robot and broke a window on the building that he was testing on.
